12M 12MM

Inspired by the feelings and memories of balancing on a 12mm wide tight wire, 12m 12mm explores alternative surfaces of equilibrium in ordinary and everyday environments, through a cycle of 12 consecutive months.

Looking into different nuances of balance, both physically and mentally, and exploring them through movement, the project creates 12 site specific choreographies of 1 minute each, resulting in a video installation of 12 screens placed in the shape of a continuous circle.

Stepping away from the conventional circus surrounding and practices, 12m 12mm relies on momentary happenings and intuitive reactions, exploring the borderline of circus and dance.
